Carpet generally can be dried and returned to a pre-loss condition. Steamatic will extract the standing water, possibly remove padding, and then place air movers and dehumidifiers to dry your carpet. Once it is dry, a professional hot-water extraction carpet cleaning will be done.
In some cases, carpet will delaminate after it has been exposed to water. This is when the backing separates from the carpet fibers. This carpet is non-salvageable and will need to be removed.
Wood is very resilient, and if dried properly, can generally be returned to a pre-loss condition. Steamatic uses specialty drying equipment, i.e. drying mats to ensure the best drying condition to save your wood floor.
Laminate does not handle standing water for long and generally needs to be removed.
Ceramic Floors that are in good shape generally can be dried to pre-loss condition. Occasionally, the sub floor under ceramic tile puts up a fight, and we do everything we can to bake out trapped water.
